BEHIND THE SCENES

The biggest influencer of all times is prophet Mohamed ﷺ, with more than a billion followers without any social media accounts, he led us by good example. As muslims we believe there is no better example than the path our prophet ﷺ has shown us. Having that said, our mission is to lead by good example, with a brand that is fully compliant with the Islamic law.

After years of improvising with different ways of covering the Awrah while working out, we thought it was time to work on a robust solution. To solve this problem once and for all, for the entire ummah, we've been working for over a year behind the scenes to get this done and deliver it to the brothers. The absence of modest athleisure for the muslim man was motivating us, someone had to do it. Being a pioneer on this topic comes with virtues that can't be expressed by worldly matters.

We men have to lower our gaze too. Additionally, we also have a Hijaab, which is unfortunately an unknown ór neglected topic for many. This is very serious and that's why we had to do it big and proper. We had to set a good example and preach the forgotten sunnah. We aren't big scholars, far from, but we know it's our duty to convey the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ, especially in the days of fitna we live in.

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence.."~ Bukhari 3461

As muslims we are obliged to maintain the social security and communal wellbeing within the ummah. That's why we've committed ourselves to donate 2.5% of our gross profit to orphans, on top of the Zakaat which will be paid on our personal titles. EKanon himself was an orphan and the future wasn't looking bright for him, but Allaah his plans are bigger than you can ever imagine. Alhamdulillah!

Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers.. ~ Bukhari 5304

The consumer nowadays has very high standards, the bar is set by big known companies with the capabilities many small startups haven't. This motivated us even more, competition makes you hungrier and triggers continuous improvement. Our products had to be from triple A quality and we didn't want to be inferior to those big whales.

In order to get where we want to be, we had to travel through borders, hire the right people for the right job, spend long nights and set different priorities. It's a big transition from being just a social media influencer, to being a social media influencer and entrepreneur.

The clothing industry is a very delicate business and for each specific task there is a certain skill set required. We didn't want to improvise and freestyle with the design and production of our products. They were seen as very technical by experienced designers and manufacturers. Our role was to test, give feedback and approve the designs and samples. We've revised our design over FIFTEEN times, a few times it was the fabric, a few times it was the fit and a few times we wanted to feel the WoW as soon as you unpack the delivery. The last sample before the mass production gave us this WoW feeling and the rest became history.

Within the team, we agreed upon when to market and we didn't want to announce anything, until we knew the products were as we wanted them to be. We believe you can only make a first impression once and that has to be a good one.
